Shelly joined VCPI as our Finance Manager in 2014, bringing over 30 years in accounting, taxes, and educational administration to the organization. Since then, Shelly has elevated VCPI’s financial, legal, and contractual processes to meet the highest standards in the industry and has played in instrumental role in virtually every program and initiative.
VCPI’s federal partners and outside contractors have come to rely on Shelly’s meticulous attention to detail and unwavering thoroughness to ensure all programmatic stakeholders have the information and resources they need to exceed expectations.
From financial and legal compliance to accounting processes, payroll, financial reporting, programmatic and financial audits, budgeting, investment management, and more, Shelly’s work is invaluable to VCPI’s mission of impacting public safety, one person at a time.
She holds a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction and a Bachelor’s in Physical Education, Recreation, and Health Education from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Outside of work, Shelly can be found building memories with her husband, two daughters, three dogs, and two cats at their lake house, on a boat, or at home in Chesterfield, VA.
