Michelle joined VCPI in 2022, bringing 23 years of educational leadership and instructional technology experience to our development team. Her deep understanding of instructional models and theories along with her passion for improving learning efficiency among adults make Michelle an invaluable contributor to VCPI’s public safety education efforts. 

From developing instructional frameworks and implementing data standards, to spearheading online training and managing accessibility compliance, Michelle has established herself as a go-to for educational organizations seeking to modernize their approaches and increase effectiveness.  

She holds a Master’s in Education from Virginia Tech, a Post-Master’s Certificate and Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies and Elementary Education from Longwood University.  

Away from work, Michelle can be found hiking, kayaking, or beach-ing, or working on a new design project for her home. She lives in Powhatan, Virginia with her loving spouse, two industrious children, and four rescue pets.
